DVDPedia Cover Art Not Preserved In 5.0

I've just upgraded to DVDpedia (from 4.9.1). In all entries the cover art is missing. Prior to the update the cover art was present. I've got Time Machine so dropping back is not a big deal, but it would be nice to stay with this. Thoughts?

That is very strange indeed - was the Covers folder still there after you updated or was that deleted somehow? The update didn't touch the covers folder in any way. Only the data file, Database.pediadata, was copied and updated to the new format.

After you've dropped in the Covers folder from Time Machine, did your covers re-appear and show as usual?

Just to make sure that this isn't a permissions problem on your computer, run 'Repair permissions'. To do that, go into Applications/Utilities and run the program Disk Utility. Select your hard drive and press the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button.

If this should ever happen again, please let us know as many details about the problem as possible, including steps you took leading up to the problem so we can try to repeat the issue here and fix it. Also send us your Database.pediadata as well as the new Database.dvdpd file and a few random cover images from your covers folder so we can try to repeat the problem here. Thanks.

Have sent the files requested plus a couple of others by email due to size. Hope they were helpful. As noted in the emails, the "Covers" folder appears to be intact before and after. There is a subtle glitch in that pre-5.0 there were 1290 movies; post 5.0 the system thought there were 1273. Don't know if that's related. All this done after repairing permissions as recommended. Bottom line: no change in symptoms of problem.
