Open the program 'Terminal' found in Applications/Utilities and type in:

defaults write com.bruji.dvdpedia "VLC for VIDEO_TS" -bool YES

Then hit return and VLC will automatically be set as your preferred video player in DVDpedia. Sorry that this isn't better explained in the Help yet. I'll fix that for the next version. Thanks for bringing it up.

Hi,
I have tried to have it switch to use VLC as suggested about using Terminal, and still when I try to open the link for my movie it will go to QuickTime. Any Suggestions ?

Thanks

The VLC setting in Terminal only works on VIDEO_TS folders. If your movie link is for a .avi file or something like that, you have to set the preferred application in the Finder. (Select the movie file and choose 'Get Info' from the File menu. In the window that appears, under 'Open with', set VLC as the application and press the 'Change all' button so that all files with that extension will be opened with VLC in the future.)
