Web template sorted by Smart Collections (Bookpedia)

Post by Sappetta »

Hi!

I currently use the "MySortedIndexWithStats" template to export my book collection to the web.

This works fine, but I'd much prefer to have the indexing sorted by Smart Collections than by genre.

This way, for example, I could have "The Treasure Island" appearing both in the "English Literature" collection and in the "Children's Books" collection also on my web page - just as I have them in my BookPedia.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Federica
P.S. I love your applications :-)

Great idea, though I'm afraid I have no idea how this could be done.

You could export each smart collection individually to a folder. Then create an HTML index page to put it the parent folder that holds the exports and links to each exported collection.

My Books (A folder to upload to your web server.)
English Literature (Folder with the export of the English Literature smart collection.)
Children's Book (Folder with the export of the Children's Book smart collection.)
index.html (web page you create with links to the two folders. This page only needs to be created once, then you only update the internal collection exports).

We will keep it mind when we improve our exports to extend it to be able to handle several collections instead of being collection based.
