Thanks a lot, that worked great!FineWine wrote: So I suppose in your case the sqlite3 script would read:
Code: Select all
sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/DVDpedia/Database.dvdpd update zlink set zURL = replace(zURL, '.webm', '.mkv'); .exit

Re: DVDpedia: Changing suffix of linked movie files
One thing I do not like about DVDpedia is when you drag and drop a digital media file into the Links > URL secion, like mkv or mp4, it moves that file from its current location into a QuickTime folder within /Application Support/DVDpedia. You can switch that off: https://www.udo-schmitz.de/img/dvdp...

Re: DVDpedia: Changing suffix of linked movie files
I should have been clearer. I'm asking if I could do a rename to the SQL directly.

DVDpedia: Changing suffix of linked movie files
I have some movies in .webm format. To play these I can’t use the play-button, but instead have to go to detail view and click the link there. Now I learned that I can just change the suffix to .mkv without having to do anything else to the file. Easy to do that in Finder. Could I edit the db to cha...

Re: Automatic local poster import from IMDB
I should have tested "Frozen" out instead. :D All good. But I remembered that I should maybe add my version and system: I'm on Beta 261 (because of: https://www.bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7562&p=28286&hilit=imdb#p28286) MacBook Air M1, Monterey 12.6.5 (21G531) ...

Re: Automatic local poster import from IMDB
Having test out the German language it still only shows the English poster artwork. Not here. If I use the site in a browser where I'm not logged in I get this view (and I did a search for the original title): https://udo-schmitz.de/assets/images/screenshot2.png So, normally you get a localised ver...

Automatic local poster import from IMDB
Would it be possible to change the behaviour of what poster DVDpedia downloads from IMDB?
I have a German MacOS in Germany, so automatically get the German poster for a movie (if available).
Any way to tell the app to use the default poster?

Re: DVDpedia marks movie as series
Thanks for the reply. I think I should have been more specific. Those movies are each marked as their own series with one episode each. So I have 9 movies listed as series (shows, not seasons) “1” above each column (which stands for number of seasons or episodes?). https://i.imgur.com/O7qNOWs.png Th...

DVDpedia marks movie as series
While looking at the statistics view I noticed that some movies in my database are classified as series although they're clearly not. I wanted to correct this, but couldn't find any place to change it. I can see it in the detail view but neither in “Info” nor “Extras”. Where is this information stor...

Re: DVDpedia 6.1.0 M1 hangs when I try to open movies
Sure thing. I have let conor know about this post and your problems with VLC(M1) and DVDpedia. I also tested to open links to VIDEO_TS folders (which worked in 5.7.0 but not 6.0.1): Both regular and beta open Apple’s DVD-Player in background, neither hangs or beachballs, DVD-Player sits there doing ...

Re: DVDpedia 6.1.0 M1 hangs when I try to open movies
Thanks a lot :) Well I noticed something: I had installed the native Version for M1 of VLC. I now tested with the latest Intel build of VLC and got a pop-up notifying me that DVDpedia wants access to control VLC (paraphrasing because my MacOS is in German), after allowing this everything works as ex...

DVDpedia 6.1.0 M1 hangs when I try to open movies
I installed DVDpedia 6.1.0 on my Mac Book Air 10,1 M1, MacOS 11.0.1 and imported my library from DVDpedia 5.7.0 from the old MacBook (MacOS 10.13.6). (I use this older version because I already couldn't open links to VIDEO_TS folders in DVDpedia 6.0: https://www.bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&...

VIDEO_TS links not working
I already have a post at https://www.bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7291 and tonight I took a closer look at the problem. I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G13035) In the latest Version of DVDpedia (6.0.1) DVDpedia can’t get linked VIDEO_TS folders to play in an external program anym...
